Four Sabar children to join Bharat Sevashram Sangh’s residential school

Four Savar children from Yuva’s school Kislay are all set to join Bharat Sevashram Hoste and school in Sundernagar.

Jamshedpur:Juhi Sabar, Jhurki Sabar, Puja Sabar and Banbasi Sabar are quite  excited. And there is a reason for that. All these four Sabar children will now join Bharat Sevashram Sangh’s residential school in Sundernagar, Jamshedpur and would study with other children.

These four Sabar children belong to the endangered Sabar tribe and are a student of Kislay, Tangrain, a school run by Yuva and ASHA For Education at Tangrain, Potka village. Another branch of Kislay runs at Dhengam village. Continue reading

New School ‘Kislay’ for Savar children in Dhengam

Jamshedpur: Yuva has been running a school “Kislay” in Dhengam, a remote village in Potka district for the last one month. This school has been opened specifically for Savar children.

The school was formally inaugurated on November 15, the 12th anniversary of Jharkhand.

The first such school “Kislay” has already been running in Sabar Nagar, Tangrain for the last six months.

Yuva secretary, Barnali said that Yuva remains committed to spread education among Savar children and this new unit in Dhengam would provide an opportunity to Savar chidren of that area to join a school and be ready to join the mainstream of education.

Savar Community School ‘Kislay’ inaugurated in Tangrain, Potka

Jamshedpur: As scheduled and announced, Savar Community School – ‘Kislay’- a dream project of Yuva, was inaugurated today on May 23, 2011, formally by Mrs. Anita Devi, vice-chairman, East Singhbhum District Council. A large number of people from Savar community, Savar children, Yuva members and guests were present on the occasion.

Mrs. Anita Devi, vice-chairman, Zila Parishad, formally inaugurated the school by cutting a ribbon and in her address applauded the initiative of Yuva for bringing the Savar children back to education mainstream.
