DRDA organizes district level seminar in Jamshedpur

Picture 042Youth Unity For Voluntary Action (Yuva) along with four other voluntary social organizations of East Singhbhum district, in collaboration with DRDA, East Singhbhum organized a one-day district level workshop on January 3, 2015 at Red Cross Bhavan, Sakchi.

The purpose of the workshop was to develop understand of MNREGA, NRLM CFT Project. The workshop was attended by all the officials of MNREGA, rojgar sewaks, Mukhiyas, Gram Pradhans and women members of Self help groups. More than 200 people participated in this programme.

The workshop was inaugurated by advisor for Supreme Court Mr. Balram and the Dy DC, Lal Mohan Mahato.

Addressing the inaugural function of the workshop, Mr. Balram threw light on different features of MNREGA Act. He said that to ensure the success of MNREGA and to ensure participation of deprived sections, the responsibility of implementing CFT Project has been handed over to social voluntary organizations. He stressed the need to involve more and more women in MNREGA activities.

The DDC, Mr. Lal Mohan Mahato too stressed the need for CFT Project and said that wide participation is essential for its success.

IN the beginning of the programme, PMRDF Mr. Rajiv Ranjan welcomed the participants and said that the responsibility of conducting CFT Project has been handed over to TSRDS in Patamda, Devnet in Chakulia, RDA in Ghatshila and Dhalbhumgarh and Yuva in Potka.

The consultant of UNICEF, Mr. Robert Anthony spoke about social audit. Different Mukhiyas and representatives of self help groups also expressed their views in the workshop.

The programme was anchored by Barnali Chakraborty, secretary Yuva and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Amarendra of Devnet.
