Jamshedpur: A group of XLRI, Jamshedpur students joined hands with Yuva, Jamshedpur to organize a general medical camp for the villagers living in Dhengam village in Potka block of East Singhbhum, Jharkhand. A large number of children as well as adults underwent health check-up and got free medicines in the camp.The students who took initiative to join hands with Yuva for providing medical succour to the villagers of Dhengam village on August 18, 2013, were from the General Management Programme and they are from the 2013-2014 batch of XLRI, Jamshedpur, one of the most respected management institutes of the country. Their initiative was a part of group project for subject ‘Occupational Behavior’ under the guidance of Father Antony Uvari, Dean-Administration, XLRI.
Dr Aseem Srivastava carried out the medical examination of the children, while other students assisted him in making the health camp a huge success. Dr. Aseem is an MBBS and he played the role of the doctor responsible for the camp.
Other team members included Anand Joshep Mani, Dhyanesh Kabra, Chandan Kumar, Sumeet Jalan, Harshit Raikwal, Abishek Mishra, Ashutosh Choudhary and Ashish Kumar Jain.
Arbind Tiwary, the founder member of Yuva assisted the XLRI students in conducting the health camp. Other Yuva members were also present on the occasion.
