Jamshedpur: Sukurmani Sabar is struggling for life. Had the volunteers of “Yuva” not shown a sense of urgency in rushing her to the government hospital, she could have died in her village.
Sukurmani has had an abortion seven months after conception and was in a very serious condition. Her condition was deteriorating due to continuous bleeding. She did not tell anyone about her problem. But, when her condition worsened some of the villagers contacted Yuva volunteers and she was rushed to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur.
Since she was in a highly anaemic condition, she needed blood transfusion and was given two bottles of blood. Yuva volunteers also arranged for some necessary medicines prescribed by the doctors that were not available in the hospital.
Now she is recovering and is slightly better. But, she remains anaemic.
